Barnsley – Young Apprenticeship Programme

2009 was another successful year for the Barnsley Young Apprenticeship programme, with tremendous achievement rates for the four programmes. This has resulted in the progression of 97% of our Cohort 4 apprentices (2009 leavers) into further education, training or employment.

It is two years since the first cohort of learners left their Young Apprentices programme, progressing to further and higher education, apprenticeships, training and employment.  The two articles below are from two of our cohort 2 (2005 – 2007) learners who are now continuing their studies by following degree courses at local universities.
