Enterprising Yorkshire - Inspiring Young Minds

Stem Enterprise - Young Enterprise

An excellent example highlighting the success which “Stem Enterprise” have achieved since a team of year 12 pupils joined the Young Enterprise Company Programme.

Tom Goodyear, Managing Director of ‘Stem Enterprise’, has been working hard this year to get his gardening package ‘SchoolGrow‘ into primary schools. The initial idea for the company was conceived by a team of year-12 pupil’s whilst on the Young Enterprise Company Programme, a year-long programme that gives students an opportunity to start their own company.

Stem Enterprise believe that children are the future and should be inspired to both eat healthily, and feel the satisfaction derived from growing and consuming their own produce. Tom has soaring ambitions for the emerging company and hopes to “improve the knowledge and diets of primary school children across the nation”.
