Young entrepreneurs bag a deal with Waterstone’s
A group of children from St Stephen’s CE primary school have received news that their handmade bookmarks are to be sold in Bradford branches of Waterstone’s.
The group who call themselves Mr Bookmark have set up a handmade bookmark business as part of the Step Up Enterprise Market Challenge. They have taken their business a step further and pitched the idea to their local Waterstone’s branch who agreed to sell the product for a limited time in the city centre and Bradford university branches.
The Bookmarks will go on sale for 50p each and all are individually made by the children in their enterprise group at school.
This is part of a wider programme, the Step Up Enterprise scheme, launched by Bradford Council’s Department of Services to Children and Young People, which aims to develop business leaders of tomorrow. For further information about this story, contact:
