Students will work to time driven goals at an enthusiastic pace!

Who will benefit from attending the masterclass?

Key Stage 2, 3 & 4 students who enjoy a challenge and are motivated by a variety of stimuli will benefit from the ‘Enterprise Masterclass'. The bootcamp has been run a number of times across all year groups and can be adapted to suit the requirements for each of them. For example, Key Stage 4 students may spend longer on the ‘life after school' session, while those in Key Stages 2 & 3 may enjoy a 'Dragons' Den style' enterprise challenge.

Claire Young's reasons for running the Enterprise Masterclass

At 31 years of age, Claire finds that she is able to relate well to students. She believes that with hard work, drive and ambition anything is possible. Starting from a non-business background, she now runs three businesses and has established a media career. Claire treats the students she works with in an adult like manner, creating a set of ground rules for the day to gain their respect and to establish her authority. Participating in ‘The Apprentice' developed and enhanced Claire's various skills such as her ability to work under pressure, working with a difficult team, not quitting and dealing with failure. She is keen to work with enterprising students to develop their skills. Claire believes that young people are very excited to see someone from TV and that they flourish with the 'real world' experience.

Flegg High School, Norwich, 2010 winners:
"Having Claire in school working with Key Stage 3 and 4 has been a once in a lifetime opportunity for our young people. This fantastic experience has given students the courage to push themselves and have a go at what ever is thrown at them. It has also given them inspiration and confidence to be able to do anything they put their minds too. They have gained an insight into business, have improved their presentation skills and have learnt to work effectively as part of a team. For the older students Claire has given them a glimpse into the 'real world' with advice on CVs, application forms, interviews and the opportunities available after school.
