The Northern Rail Film Challenge Launch - York Railway Museum - 19 January
Northern Rail and Young People’s Enterprise Forum are delighted to launch the Northern Rail Film Challenge at York Railway Museum on Monday 19th January 2009. This initiative is funded by Yorkshire Forward and delivered by the Regional Education Business Partnerships. The challenge has been developed to support young people studying media courses, in particular the new Creative and Media Diploma.
The Northern Rail Film Challenge will provide students with invaluable experience of working on a ‘live’ project supported by local media companies.
The programme is open to all schools and colleges in the Yorkshire and Humber region and split into two entry levels; 14-16 and 16-19 years. The launch event on 19 January is for teachers and other interested parties and will provide a full briefing about the challenge, a resource pack and evidence of how the challenge maps into the Creative and Media Diploma and other media courses.
