Stock Market Challenge! Sixth Forms & Colleges Register by 18th Nov

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Stock Market Challenge is being run as a national online competition for Year 12 students from Sixth Form and FE colleges across England.

The competition comprises a qualifying event on Thursday November 18 involving all participating colleges. The top 9 colleges from the first round will compete in the final on Thursday November 25.

Competition entry is free and each participating college will receive free use of the Stock Market Challenge resource until July 2011. The prize for the winning college will include a visit to London and a tour of the London Stock Exchange for 40 students.

The competition's main aim is to promote enterprise education and develop students' business awareness and transferable skills. The challenge is being faciliated by the Enterprise Network, a consortium of organisations working together to support Enterprise Education.

The Enterprise Network is a DfE funded contract to support enterprise education from 5-19 across England, which aims to improve both the quality and quantity of enterprise education in schools and colleges. The network has achieved this by developing a locally based network of schools and colleges who support enterprise education within their geographical sphere of influence.
