Doncaster School Wins Yorkshire & Humber Real Business Challenge

Nov 19, 2010

A school from Doncaster has won this year’s Real Business Challenge in the Yorkshire and Humber region and will now head to London in January to compete against schools from across the UK.

Ridgewood School was among ten schools from across the region which yesterday made the regional finals held at Elland Road, Leeds in front of a panel of judges made up of members of Yorkshire Forward, the Young People's Enterprise Forum, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Real Radio, as well as Phil Packer MBE.

Launched in 2005, the Real Business Challenge links with local employers and gives young people authentic experience of the business world - this year every school in the Yorkshire and Humber region was invited to design a football-themed sports drink to celebrate this summer's World Cup in South Africa.
