Leeds Education Conference Raises Debate
Feb 26, 2010
Businesses from across Yorkshire and Humber joined secondary heads and college principals at a conference in Leeds last week which addressed how an impending law change will significantly impact young people in education, apprenticeships, young workers as well as employment opportunities.
Developed by Leeds-based Young People's Enterprise Forum (YPEF) and funded by Yorkshire Forward, ‘Towards Total Engagement' attracted almost 200 delegates who debated a range of issues around the central theme of an impending law change to raise the participation age, requiring young people to remain in some form of education or training for longer.
