StepUP - call for Business Mentors as Huge School Enterprise Event is launched

It has been announced that the region will host one of the UK’s biggest events aimed at raising aspirations among young people, their future and self-employment, when an internationally recognised two-day forum comes to Yorkshire in October 2009.

On October 13 and 14, Cathedral House in Huddersfield will host the Yorkshire Forward-funded ‘stepUP' event which already has 500 young people confirmed to attend from schools across Calderdale and Kirklees.

The event, which started in Australia in 2002 and is being run only for the second time in the UK, will include workshops, presentations, as well as talks and Q&As from high-profile speakers from the world of sport, business and entertainment.
