Richard Reed, the co-founder of smoothie maker, Innocent Drinks, was among the speakers at today’s first day of a two-day stepUP event in Huddersfield. More than 500 young people from schools across Calderdale and Kirklees are attending one of the UK’s biggest events aimed at raising aspirations about their future, self-employment and the world of business.
Tuesday's speakers also included Matt Bowman, the lead singer of the Pigeon Detectives and iTeddy Dragons' Den winner Imran Hakim. The event has been brought to Yorkshire from Australia by the Young People's Enterprise Forum, a Yorkshire Forward-funded initiative.
