Towards Total Engagement - Secondary Headteachers' Conference, 26 Feb 2010
Feb 16, 2010
Businesses across Yorkshire and Humber are being urged to attend a free conference this month in Leeds which will look at how an impending law change will significantly impact young people in education, apprenticeships, young workers as well as employment opportunities.
In 2013, young people will be required, by law, to stay in education or training until they are 17; and from 2015 the law will apply to 18-year-olds. However, many businesses - and even some young people and parents - are unaware and underprepared for the changes.
Developed by Young People's Enterprise Forum (YPEF) and funded by Yorkshire Forward, ‘Towards Total Engagement' is a conference specifically aimed at businesses, secondary heads and college principals in Yorkshire and Humber.
