The WorldSkills London 2011 Education Experience – available from Monday 10 January 2011– is a high quality programme of activities and teaching resources to help educational professionals delivering Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PHSE) to motivate their students to make serious and informed decisions about their future careers.

The Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 resources are designed to be used as a stand-alone classroom activity or in conjunction with visiting the competition and give schools, colleges and training providers a range of free, ‘ready-made’, but customisable, lesson plans and teaching and assessment materials. Over 150,000 visitors are expected during the four days of competition. WorldSkills are encouraging all UK schools, colleges, universities and education providers to be part of it and learn about the latest jobs and careers in Apprenticeships and vocational skills and careers. Become one of our 2,500 volunteers!

The scale of WorldSkills London 2011 is enormous so securing 2,500 volunteers will be a key element in ensuring the success of the event. People with all levels of experience are needed. Volunteers need to be aged 16 by 1 January 2011, located within daily travelling distance of London and willing to work a minimum of five shifts in the two week run-up to WorldSkills London 2011 and event itself.
