Big Society’s Big Mouth

The Big Society’s Big Mouth campaign gives young people the opportunity to get their voices heard on the key issues affecting them via an online platform at BigSocietysBigMouth.org and at local events that will take place across the country over the next two months.

The website gives young people the chance to discuss problems in their areas and give ideas on how to tackle them. These ideas will then be presented by young people to Parliament in April.

The website was planned after a V survey found that more than two-thirds (67%) of young people did not know what ‘Big Society’ meant for them and only 25% had heard of the term.   They survey also found that 46% of young people did not trust the Government to make the right cuts, while 36% said they thought the new coalition cared less about them than the previous government.
