Since its inception in 2007, Hull City Council Gold Standard for IAG has resulted in many of the city’s schools, colleges and young people’s services working hard to ensure that they met its demanding requirements and volunteering to be assessed against them.

Ridgewood school from Doncaster has won this year’s Real Business Challenge in the Yorkshire and Humber region and will now head to London in January to compete against schools from across the UK.

Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership have chronicled the breadth of enterprising activities which took place in Hull during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010.

Create your Future (CYF) took place on 15th November 2010, during Global Entrepreneurship Week and also during the very first York Business Week.  CYF is a key conference for Creative and Cultural Practitioners offering a unique opportunity to meet creative and cultural local businesses, organisations, networks and support agencies in York and North Yorkshire.

The Step Up Enterprise team at Bradford Council has announced the launch of the Market Challenge competition 2011, following the success of the first Market Challenge which took place in June (see photo).

The Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership are pleased to announce its line up for the seventh National Enterprise Week in November 2010 as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week the main sponsors of which are Hull City Council, Business Link and Yorkshire Forward and the Co-operative Group which will be facilitated by Force – 7 as part of their work as Hull’s Youth Enterprise Development Company and Hull Training. 

Calderdale has a new Calderdale Apprentice. After a search lasting three weeks, Calderdale’s “Lord Sugar”, Craig Hamer, Joint Managing Director of Dews Motor Group, declared Joe Cotton, 15, of Calder High School to be this year’s winner.
